IT’S OK TO SLAP YOUR WIFE . . . IF SHE SPENDS TOO MUCH MONEY?
Posted by: | Comments
WOW- is all I have to say
–Recently, a Saudi Arabian newspaper called the “Arab News” reported that a judge in the nation’s capital city, Riyadh, has ruled it’s OK for a man to SLAP his wife . . . if she spends too much money. (???)
–In fact, not only is it OK . . . but if a woman spends too much money, then according to the judge, quote, “she DESERVES that punishment.”
–And if that’s not bad enough, the judge also pointed out that part of the reason domestic violence is on the rise in Saudi Arabia . . . is because of, quote, “women’s indecent behavior and use of offensive words against their husbands.”
–In other words, men in Saudi Arabia aren’t spineless snakes who control their women by physically abusing them.
–No, they’re actually regulators who have NO CHOICE but to use violence . . . in order to control their UNRULY women. (???)

When the police found the man dead in his apartment, they discovered evidence of four suicide attempts.
According to the investigation, first he tried to hang himself, but the rope snapped and he fell to the floor.
He found a different, stronger rope, but this time the hook that used to hold the ceiling lamp gave way, and the man survived again.
He than snatched a knife and stuck it into his chest, but as he missed the heart, the wound was not dangerous.
Finally, he filled a bath tub and cut his veins with the same knife and died.

Art Student Makes Invisable Car?
Posted by: | Comments
A design student made a battered old Skoda “disappear” by painting it to merge with the surrounding car park.
Sara Watson, who is studying drawing at the University of Central Lancashire (Uclan), took three weeks to transform the car’s appearance.
She created the illusion in the car park outside her studio at Uclan’s Hanover Building in Preston.
The car is now being used for advertising by the local recycling firm that donated the vehicle.
‘Just amazing’
Ms Watson, a second year student, said: “I was experimenting with the whole concept of illusion but needed something a bit more physical to make a real impact.”
She was given the Skoda Fabia from the breaker’s yard at local firm Recycling Lives.
Owner Steve Jackson described her work as “amazing”.
“When I first saw the photos I was convinced it was something which had been done on the computer,” said Mr Jackson.
“But when you look more closely you see the effort and attention to detail she has put into it. It is just amazing.”

The military currently has thousands of robots operating overseas, including unmanned aerial scouts and small-payload bombers, bomb disposal ‘bots, and even robots roaming around with machine guns. Now there’s another robo-copter being tossed into the mix — the Autonomous Rotorcraft Sniper System (ARSS), an unmanned helicopter armed with a .338-caliber rifle.
The fundamentals behind the ARSS were actually thought up five years ago, but a turret system that would be accurate enough to pick off targets from a distance was only recently possible thanks to a team at Utah State University’s Space Dynamics Laboratory. Now, hooked up to the underside of a Vigilante 502 UAV, the ‘copter handles all the flying by itself while a remote operator lines up each shot using — of all things — an Xbox 360 controller.
Talk about real war-gaming. I suppose it’s a testament to the Xbox 360′s controller design that it could be used to adjust the precise aim of an aerial sniper. Now all the military needs to do is make a video game front-end, and we’ll be living Ender’s Game.
